the artist

Born in Poland. Self-taught artist.
When I started my journey with art, some of the brightest
ideas I had back then were born in some of the darkest places I’ve been to.
First, I was sketching all the time and everything I could. Then I started using watercolours. It was like magic.
Watching colours melting, fading and overlapping with each
other was so addictive.
It was as if a big door had opened, and I could enter a world of endless possibilities.

Creating art is everything to me. Sometimes I stay awake for 24 hours, and I lose myself in the world of colours.
Through my art, I can express myself. I usually don’t talk much. I let canvases do it for me. It’s so much easier that way.
I very often paint memories. Memories of people, places, words, longings, heartbreaks and happiness.
In recent years, my art has allowed me to help less privileged children.
Now, making art makes even more sense to me, and I am beginning to understand why I do what I do.

After some time, I started experimenting with acrylics.
Then with another medium, too.
Today, I paint using various tools: watercolours,
gouaches, and acrylics. I use inks and pastels.
Sometimes coffee.
I use brushes and palette knives.
Often my hands.
